Armstrong batted .550 (11-for-20) with a team high seven RBIs as Eastern Mennonite won four straight over the weekend.
Armstrong, a transfer from Mary Washington, had a breakout week for the Royals, as he had a pair of triples and doubles, adding a slugging percentage of .850. He also scored six runs.
The right fielder had multiple hits in four of EMU's five games, including a 4-5 game against Mount Saint Vincent in which he missed hitting for the cycle by a homerun. Twelve games into his EMU career, Armstrong is batting .364 with team highs of 16 hits and two triples.
After sweeping doubleheaders from Cairn and Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday and Sunday, Eastern Mennonite is now 7-5. The men step into conference play this coming weekend, playing a pair of Emory and Henry on Saturday.
