The EMU men gained so much respect the way they closed last fall's cross country season that they start this year's regional rankings listed higher than ever before in Coach Jason Lewkowicz's tenure.  The Royals are ranked No. 7 in the preseason South/Southeast Regional listing, which was released today by the USTFCCCA.

Eastern Mennonite's men entered the list for the first time in Lewkowicz's previous three years at No. 9 late last season.  They finished 10th at the South/Southeast Regionals.  With their No. 7 ranking to start 2014, the Royals are third out of four ODAC teams in the top 10.

Bridgewater College, which won the regional race last year, opens at No. 1.  Washington and Lee is No. 6, while Lynchburg is one spot behind EMU at No. 8.
