Denlinger Adds USTFCCCA Academic Award

Senior Tyler Denlinger (Perkasie, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) has wrapped up his collegiate career with one more award, this time being named All-Academic by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Denlinger was the only Royals athlete named to the team. He was previously named an Academic All-American and won the ODAC's Doc Jopson Award.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards: (1) competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship or (2) finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

Denlinger was 28th in the nation in the mile with a time of 4:14.68. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite University this spring with a 3.94 GPA as a biology (pre-med) major.
