Rain and now snow continue to affect EMU's softball team, as the Royals postponed Saturday's home opener against Messiah.
The two teams hope to reschedule for later in the season, although no date has been worked out.
That leaves Sunday's recently added doubleheader against Wilkes as EMU's new home opener. First pitch on Gehman Field will be at 12:00pm on Sunday.
Coming out of their Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Royals hold a four-game winning streak and an overall record of 5-1. Even there, EMU had three games cancelled and two more delayed because of rain. Wilkes is currently 5-2. The two teams had been scheduled to play one game Tuesday in Myrtle Beach before getting rained out.
