EMU Sophomore Emily Davis (King George, Va./Fredericksburg Christian) has been named the softball Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Davis continues to flourish as EMU's leadoff batter, scoring 7 runs in 4 games last week with a slash line of .615/.688/1.077. Her highlight last week was a 3-3 effort against Mary Baldwin, adding a walk and scoring 3 of EMU's 5 runs. Among her 8 hits last week were a home run and 3 doubles.
On the season, Davis is sixth in the ODAC in batting average and on-base percentage while holding fifth in slugging. She also leads EMU in most offensive categories including: batting average, on-base percentage and slugging, hits, runs, doubles, home runs, walks and stolen bases.
This is the first ODAC Player of the Week award for Davis.
