Women's basketball player Jess Rheinheimer (Manheim, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) has earned back-to-back All-America awards, being named D3hoops.com All-American Honorable Mention.
Eastern Mennonite's senior forward was also named the South Region Player of the Year after being voted the ODAC Player of the Year for the second straight season.
Rheinheimer led the Royals with 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. The 5-10 forward was also second on the team with 29 steals and 11 blocked shots, and third with 51 assists. She provided a great inside-outside threat, hitting 47.1% of her shots, including 33.6% from three-point range. Rheinheimer also made 82.6% of her free throws, sinking 95-of-115.
One of the best players in EMU history, she finishes No.3 in scoring with 1,567 points and No. 11 in rebounding with 646.
Also the Academic All-American of the Year, Rheinheimer is just as impressive in the classroom with a 3.95 GPA in EMU's highly-respected nursing program. She won the 2015 Jostens Trophy and was a finalist for the award again this year.
Rheinheimer was the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference player named to either of the five All-America teams as she was again placed among the top 25 women in the country. She landed on the Fourth Team as a junior.
Eastern Mennonite's basketball women finished the 2015-16 season with a record of 18-8.
