EMU's golf women wrapped up their abbreviated fall season over the weekend, participating in the Shenandoah Invitational at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club in Front Royal, Va. The women shot on a par-71, 5,810-yard course.
Olyvia Longacre (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) sat just six shots off the lead with an 81 on day one, but added three strokes on Sunday to finish tied for 13th at 165 (+23).
Freshman Kierra Zuercher (Canton, Ohio/Lake Center Christian) had a solid 103 on the first day, but did not complete a card today.
York's Jordan Koller shot a 151 (+9) to win the two-day event. York also claimed the team title by nine strokes.
EMU's women golfed just three competitive rounds this fall, as the season-opening Knights Invitational on Sept. 15 was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence, and the second day of the Bridgewater Invitational the following week was cancelled due to rain.
The spring season will pick up in March.
