The fall season ended one day early for the EMU golf team, as rain forced the cancellation of day two of the VSGA Women's Intercollegiate Championship.

Day one was fantastic weather at the James River Country Club in Newport News, Va., but as rain rolled in overnight, Sunday's play was called off.

Eastern Mennonite University's Olyvia Longacre (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) landed a pair of birdies on Saturday, and carded an 89 (+18). She also had three pars on the 5,463-yard course.

Longacre finished in a tie for 16th out of the field of 33 women. Erica Whitehouse of host Christopher Newport earned a one-stroke victory at 72 (+1).

The VSGA Intercollegiate was the final event of the fall for the EMU women's golf team. The spring season will be released soon, leading up the ODAC Championships on April 19-21 at Stoney Creek Golf Course in Nellysford, Va.
